Many moons ago, Japan got a limited edition Fire Emblem: Awakening 3DS system bundle, and man, is it sexy looking. Well, if you don’t live in Japan and wanted to pick this one up, rumor has it that the bundle is hitting America due to a leaked Game Informer ad.
I don’t even really like the Fire Emblem games. But still, DO WANT.
Super Mario Sunshine for 3DS?
Almost every Nintendo handheld (excluding the original Game Boy) has had a remake of a console Super Mario title.
- Game Boy Color: Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (originally on the NES)
- Game Boy Advance: Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World (originally on the SNES)
- Nintendo DS: Super Mario 64 DS (originally on the Nintendo 64)
So, assuming this pattern continues, would it be safe to assume that Nintendo will release a version of Super Mario Sunshine for the 3DS? (And if the trend continues, maybe we’ll even get to see Galaxy on Nintendo’s NEXT handheld? Exciting!)
Theoretically, it would be possible. According to some guy on the 3DS Forums, 3DS cartridges can hold up to 2 GB of information. Sunshine is only about 1.09 GB. That leaves Nintendo a lot of room to make graphical improvements, add extra playable characters (like in Mario 64 DS), and other new odds and ends.
I would love to see a little love for this game. Sunshine gets a lot of undeserved flack from gamers. But I liked it mostly because it was different. Nintendo took some big risks with Sunshine, which I think resulted in a really great game.
After finishing 999, next up on my list is Ocarina of Time 3D. I’ve played bits & pieces of the 3DS game, but now that I actually own a copy I’m excited to dig deep into this masterpiece. Haven’t really played a lot of the game in the last few years.
Paper Mario Sticker Star TV Commercial
I love how they remade actual areas and levels from the game with just paper & stop animation. Must have taken FOREVER but the result is gorgeous.
Level-5 posted a new trailer for Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney on their YouTube channel today.
The game is set to be released in Japan tomorrow actually, but unfortunately there is still no news of a release being planned for other parts of the world. Come on, Capcom!
